How to Make Homemade Tomato Sauce with Fresh Tomatoes

Ingredients
  

  • 13 lbs Fresh Tomatoes
  • 1/4 Cup Olive Oil
  • 1 tbsp Salt Add more to taste throughout cooking.
  • 6 Garlic Cloves Whole.
  • Fresh Basil To Taste.

Instructions
 

  • Wash and remove the green tops of the tomatoes.
  • Place tomatoes in blender and puree.
  • In a large pot, add all ingredients and stir to combine.
  • Bring to a boil.
  • Let sauce simmer for a minimum of 3 hours until reduced. We usually cook ours for about 5 hours.
  • Continue to check on the sauce and taste throughout. Adjust the seasoning as needed.
  • Once the sauce has reduced by about half and is full of flavor. Enjoy!
